I don’t agree with flying the confederate flag because it’s a bit like going into a Muslim country and debating if Muhammad was a prophet. It’s asking for a reaction. Having said that, I don’t agree with the liberal arguments against the confederacy.
They ignore that Lincoln was against slavery because he wanted to ship Blacks back to Africa and only his Democrat running mate caused some moderation. They ignore that Lincoln didn’t free union slaveholding states. They ignore that (some) southerners wanted to end slavery.
