My centrism might appear isolated and wacky now – why the hell am i pivoting to playing friendly with republicans. But once other issues get intense, suddenly I’ll look like a bridge builder. It’s the long game here.
The fact is, if I just downplayed my views on economics and said I was a Nixon Keynesian, I could probably pass myself off as a moderate Republican. So I have the potential to really build the coalition, but I think fully emphasized – my anti supply side views are more Democrat.
