The Democratic PartyGB819: November 6, 2020 |

It’s probably fair to say that if we didn’t have a Democratic Party, we woudn’t have a Democracy. It’s the only party that at least historically understood that it’s important to have a big tent and to have a discourse between different ideologies.
It’s impossible to understand the Democratic party as anything but a platform to exchange ideas in a Democratic matter. It’s not really the party of strict, centralized ideology. That’s why its position have changed as society has faced new issues and progressed.
I play the “good cop, bad cop” thing. I’ll let someone else be the liberal while I’m the conservative. I’ll let someone else be the Israel supporter when I’m the moderate. Good cop bad cop is where it’s at.
