The strongest argument for keeping the electoral college may be that established multi-generational Americans tend to be more likely to live in rural areas.
I don’t want people supporting more immigration to change the electorate. If you can’t win with the existing racial demographics, you shouldn’t win.
Getting rid of the electoral college would encourage people to import immigrants just to get their votes. I don’t want parties recruiting people from other countries. If you think Russia or Israel have too much influence – it would get worse.
