I’m not a believer that our system of Government can be transmitted outside of the west. Believing that is what caused all our foreign policy blunders. It’s an underestimating of cultural differences. It’s called naive realism, heard the term in 9th grade.
edit: Other countries can see progress, but putting our system onto their culture is like taking a computer game written for the sony playstation and then trying to run it on a Macintosh. It just doesn’t work. You can’t learn culture after childhood.
