It’s clear to me that Democrats lost the white working class, unfortunately because of the civil rights movement, which is narrow minded (why be angry that blacks can go to walmart and shop) and social issues. And it hollowed the party and allowed cosmopolitans to take over it.
What we see is a bunch of liberal elites, people from ivy league universities, upper class Jews, extreme liberals on social issues, people who have an axe to grind with White America – driving the party into the mud. That’s why we’re in the state we’re in now. Republicans didn’t change because they absorbed more of the white working class, they stayed the party of free markets and small Government.
edit: Maybe this is why Biden isn’t getting the backing from the party elites that you would expect someone to be getting in his position. It’s vote as if you’re life depends on it to get rid of Trump – but it’s not really vote for Biden. I think this is because he’s not really part of this liberal elite.
