People who say what Trump did was justified are operating on false evidence that supposedly Obama fired a prosecutor to shield hunter biden from investigation. but obama actually fired the prosecutor for slow walking the investigation and trying to get bribes and it was of hunter’s employer, not of hunter himself.
According to wikipedia, which can be edited but fake stuff is removed quick, what the supporters of Trump say is not true.

In 2012, the Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Pshonka began investigating Ukrainian oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky, owner of the natural gas company Burisma Holdings, over allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, and corruption during 2010–2012.[34][35]
In 2015, Shokin became the prosecutor general, inheriting the investigation. The Obama administration and other governments and non-governmental organizations soon became concerned that Shokin was not adequately pursuing corruption in Ukraine, was protecting the political elite, and was regarded as “an obstacle to anti-corruption efforts”.[22] Among other issues, he was slow-walking the investigation into Zlochevsky and Burisma and using the threat of prosecution to try to solicit bribes from Mr. Zlochevsky and his team – to the extent that Obama officials were considering launching their own criminal investigation into the company for possible money laundering.[34]
My personal opinion is that what Trump did justifies removal but that we still shouldn’t remove him because it will cause the results of the 2020 election to be second guessed by various “what if” scenarios if Trump had run.
It’s clear that Trump did a quid pro quo, only an idiot would deny that. There’s a debate about whether what he did was business as usual, which is a reasonable debate. I think what Trump did is more than business as usual, but I think it’s in the national interest to not prosecute him so that the election in 2020 is considered a fair election with the desired candidate running against the other desired candidate.
