I am open to changing my mind on this if evidence does show that he was about to do some radical strike that killed a bunch of people. At the same time, even then, I’d blame Trump for not getting out of the middle east day by day since 2016 (I blame Obama and Bush too) and for nixing the Iranian nuclear deal, which allowed peaceful nuclear energy and not a nuclear weapon and which was successful and tanked only for Trump’s politics.

If he was coming to commit some act of violence vigilante style against the laws of Iraq, then i don’t see why the pm would lie about it.
Because the big question is “why was Soleimani there?” Was he there because he was tricked into some meeting, or was he there to kill a bunch of people. And I don’t see why the PM would lie. And I do see why Trump would lie and Trump lies all the time.
No sane person supports killing, it’s a question of the lesser of two evils. So reasonable people may support the death penalty because letting a murderer live better than his victim is an evil. And pro-life people may support an exception to save the life of the mother, because it’s a greater evil to kill the mother. Therefore to convince people that the strike was justified, you need to convince people that the alternative would have been more harm and death. Basically it was kill or be killed. I don’t believe that. I think it was a political stunt.
