Why Stalin is not considered as bad as Hitler? Basically Stalin is seen as a man ruling over a third world country that has always been run by tyrants, before Lenin even took power. Thus only a man like Stalin could have ruled Russia.
On the other hand Hitler was more like an axe murderer who had no excuse that he was in a rough neighborhood so he had to play rough.
