There is one good thing to come from all this condemnation of foreign influence and attacks on big powerful corporations, donors etc. In order to save face, politicians are going to have to reject pro-Israel people who do the same thing. If Russian meddling is bad, then Israeli meddling is bad. If big donors have too much influence, so do pro-Israel ones.
No more hiding behind past persecutions and labels of political opponents (like white supremacist, nazi, islamofascist etc.). This will be a side effect. It’s already showing with Sanders and Warren being more critical of Israel than past politicians.
— I’m not one of these people who deny the sunni shia conflict though or thinks Iran (a non-arab country) can lead the Arab world.
